winter birthday wishes...

I can't imagine growing up with a December birthday {says the girl with a summer birthday}...especially if you are part of a family that combines birthday and Christmas...that stinks.

Whaddya think about this for a winter birthday card?

Yup, I'm back at it again playing with my Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go collection!

I added Studio Calico Wood Veneer Snowflake...and a SRM sentiment....all topped off with my vintage green thread.

This is my first time linking up to

They are having a Snowflake challenge...perfect for this card!

So, what are your weekend plans?  shopping?

I hope to get all my done tomorrow morning...I desperately need to fire up the Cameo, it has been sadly neglected the last couple of weeks.  I have several days off in a row from work {wahooooo!} so I'll be sure to to playing with the Cameo!

Shopping (I think is done...thank goodness). We're having a few neighbors over for an impromptu happy hour tonight...hoping for a low key weekend!

Love those wood snowflakes. They are the perfect touch for this b-day card.

Almost nine years ago, my first born and I spent Christmas at the hospital. With the exception of a few visitors, we were all alone. I feel sorry for him in a way, his birthday is on the 24th. We always do try to do something separate for him, on his birthday. Your card is so classy and fun, and I think perfect for a December birthday!

You know my birthday is December 3rd and I HATED it growing up!!!! People always are giving me Christmas stuff for my birthday gifts, Nativity sets, Christmas lights, Christmas decor ... it truly sucks!! :)

Happy winter card, Amy, love those wood elements! I had two daughters with December birthdays and one son with a Jan 1 birthday and our anniversary which was the 20th, so I know about December holidays. I always tried my best to give each a special day. A few years the girls had parties at Valentines and a couple of years I made one large tree cake, which each child's candles in sections. Have a wonderful Friday, good luck with your shopping and have fun!

My favorite card with this collection of papers. Speaking of those papers you are using the heck out of them. Is there a contest or something?

I love that card! Simply gorgeous! My boy is born on Christmas and we work hard to separate. .. Morning is birthday, evening Christmas. The hardest part is to manage Cake and Christmas dinner and Christmas porridge (Swedish tradition) ...

My sister's bd is on Dec. 12, and I remember Mom re-wrapping presents if people brought them in xmas wrap ;) She was RABID about not combining them, and the very thought gives me heebie-jeebies!
Love this one for celebrating the wintery part of their birthday :)

I had to come see this card on my PC in full size! It's gorgeous. So rich in color and texture! I love the touch of green stitching.

I've always tried super hard to make people's BD's around Christmas NOT Christmas-y. I even mail their Christmas card and BD card a few days apart.
